Vikki Goodwin is a Texas Democrat who believes we must serve all children's educational needs through a strongly supported public education system. She believes we must repopulate the Texas Capitol with people who care about people. Specifically, she believes we need to:
— Fix the broken school finance system and not give public dollars to private schools;
— Have a bigger impact on mental health care in Texas and we need to fix CPS;
— Ensure our infrastructure/roads are keeping up with the growth in Texas in a way that makes sense, and improve mass transit, too;
— Stop punishing cities when they enact policies or ordinances the state doesn’t like;
— Put our time and efforts on important matters and not on which bathrooms people use;
— Create an unbiased redistricting commission.
From serving on the Grant Review Committee for Impact Austin, to co-chairing the AISD Strategic Plan Task Force, to participating in the Family Selection Committee for Austin Habitat, Vikki Goodwin is continuously improving the quality of life for those around her.
And now, with your help, we can make sure that District 47 is good for families, good for education, and good for the community.
