Human Rights

“We the people” means ALL people, including gender, race, ability, country of origin, and faith. We should be proud to stand up for these values rather than hiding behind fraudulent excuses for hatred. Our legislature wasted valuable time during the most recent regular and special sessions on a fake issue already addressed by existing laws regarding criminal or voyeuristic activity in bathrooms. There is no need for extra so-called “protection.”

I support:

  • Treating all people with compassion, regardless of their gender identity.
  • Anti-bullying legislation and promoting strong efforts by educators and parents to squelch bullying in schools.
  • Women’s rights and equal pay for equal work.
